Hello. I am posting about a problem which i am having on another computer of mine... whenever i try to boot my computer, i get a message which says windows cannot start up because file windows\system32\config\system is missing. So, i did a little research on google and got tho this pagehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 .. . which tells how to correct it in the recovery console. i followed every step and typed everything as into the console. everything worked, except when i typed this line: copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system
told me that it was an invalid file or directory. So now i am completely lost as to how to recover this. I cannot find any other options to fix this problem. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance

Welcome to Tech-Forums.
Have you tried to do a Windows repair from the Windows CD, not the recovery console?
