those one at the top are for workstations/servers

and thermaltake is listed under high end gamin not cheapskake builts
 
I did specify specific models in each group for a reason...

The only TT's that should (atm in time) ever be purchased for high end builds are the Toughpower models.

oh... that changes a lot... but i still like Hipers :)
 
Im not talking to any specific in this thread, I just want to point out that many brands are in more than one catergory. But you should notice that specific models and wattages are listed next to many brands in the high catergories.
 
well i googled PCP&C modular psu's and find out they dont have any, it takes me to a link of psu myths, well they say modular psu's suck and multiple rail psu's suck, is this true? I'm thinking it is a marketing scheme just to make everyone buy their psu's
 
A single powerful +12v rail, which PCP&C is known for, is better suited for an SLI or Crossfire setup.
 
there is that sight which works out how powerful PSU you'll need, not suer how reliable it is though
