The main things that annoys me about how the American English has evolved are
1. Firefox dictionary add on class British English as an individual language, they call American English just "engish". We came up with the language the least you could do is recognise that its the original and should be called appropriately, the clue is in the name ENGlish.
2. You change letters for no obvious reason e.g. recognise is the original, the American version is recognize what is the benefit of that??
