well i've ordered my mobo, cpu, case, os, hsf and video card. Here's what i got and please dont give me any crap about what i bought because i already know ^_^

Sapphire Radeon HD 2900 XT 512mb
Intel C2Q Q6600
Asus P5k Deluxe
Thermalright 120 Extreme
Vista Home Premium 64-bit
NZXT Lexa Blackline

Now i have around $900 left for a DVD burner, speakers, monitor, memory, mouse, keyboard, PSU, and hard drive(s). I needs some opinions about what i should get.
 
samsung DVD burner (isnt a lot of difference between different ones, pick a good priced one with good ratings)

HDD, how much space do you need? i'd recommend seagate 7200.10

wow...you got a nice rig going there, n1gh7. I heard the P5K Deluxe is the best motherboard, to overclock a quad core.

From the list that Invisible gave, choose the Crucial Ballistix. Price can't be beat, for the performance, this set of RAM gives.

Choose the PC Power & Cooling 610w. Cheaper than the Corsair 620HX, and has legendary status, as a high quality power supply.

The MX518 is all you need.

The Barracuda 500GB is a good choice, for space and a pretty fast 7200rpm drive.
 
heyyy.......you've got almost the same build as me! i'd say get it, i've had no problems so far

and b1gapl, you're right about it being good for overclocking quads, i've got mine running at 3.8ghz ^_^
 
man..I wish I can join the P5K Deluxe club with you guys....but I got the Ultra-120 extreme too...what are you're temperatures?
 
58c load, i could probably get it lower with my 2 vantec tornadoes blowing at 100%


edit: i'm going to see in a few days if i can get it to run at 4 ghz stable
