Computer Case Fan Question

well, a stick of mushkin 512mb pc3200 is $77 at newegg.com

wow, that sounds like a good deal. but will it have problems if i run both the 2700 and the 3200 at the same time? i know it can take up to 3GB, but can i cross-watever-it's-called?
