The new Corsair VX series power supplies are available immediately from the usual retailers. Expect to pay around $85.99 for the VX450W and $99.99 for the VX550W.

Corsair today announced new green power supplies – the VX series. The new Corsair VX series power supplies are eco-friendly and Energy Star 2007 compliant. Two models launched today – the VX450W and VX550W.

Good for those who can't afford the more pricey HX series.

Are they reliable?!!.....They're one of the most reliable and stable power supply brand out there. It's always been recommended here, since the HX series came out. And quite a lot of people here, use them as well.

yeah b1gapl the corsairs r sick psu's. i always recommend the 520 lol

thats some nice specs for the 430, and Corsair is one of the best (pc power and cooling is the best) might start recommending it for budget builds

$80+ for a 450Watt with decents amps is not what I would call a budget build PSU. FSP 400Watt or 450Watt is good for budget builds...
