I'm deciding between these two Samsung monitors:
They are BOTH $199.99

19", 2ms (GTG), 16.7 display color, no DVI cable included, 2000:1 D contrast ratio (I don't know the actual ratio... I think it is 800:1, does anyone know??)
Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 906BW Black 19" 2 ms (GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 2000:1 DC - Retail

OR

20", 6ms, 16.2 display color, DVI cable included, 700:1 contrast ratio
Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 204BW Black 20" 6ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with Height Adjustments 300 cd/m2 700:1 - Retail

So the 20" is older generation.... 19" is newer model with better specs (just without DVI cable and smaller screen.)

WHICH ONE???? I can't decide...

just go with a 22 inch dell lcd monitor for 290 at costco :p it used to be 550 MSRP 4 months back! now thats a steal...

wow.. the 20" one is WAY better.

It has better resolution and is bigger. You were considering the smaller one because its a newer model? What really matters is its resolution, size, and general quality. Everything else is important too but those are the most important.

wow.. the 20" one is WAY better.

You are wrong

The 19 inch has higher contrast ratio and better response time

The 19" is way better because it will produce better image quality

But will you really see a difference between 2ms and 6ms. I'm not really sure which is truely better, but I know I wish I had bought a monitor that could go higher than 1400X900. I own the Samsung 941BW 19".

I'm leaning towards the 20"... do you guys think the contrast ratio will be noticeable? 2000:1 vs 700:1.... but the 2000:1 is DC so I'm not sure about it. It seems like the backlight will wear out faster on the DC.
