its 680a, and its what was recommended when u buy a quad fx , but eh oh well 590a ftw!!

i think thats the ONLY board for a quad fx...but i could be wrong there.

Definitely get the C51XEM2AA.

The only one thing that isn't as good on the C51XEM2AA (and the eVGA 590, and the M2N32-SLI deluxe), is it only has one IDE port.

But then, I don't use IDE anymore. All my drives are SATA (including my DVD burner)

would it work to get a 4/8 pin cpu power adapter for my psu to use that C51XEM2AA board? and do you think a 500w psu could still support all the new things i'm getting?

Some of you guys run the Foxconn board right?

that additional power connector on the left. Is that something that needs to be plugged in? Does the board draw power from that socket as well? or is it an output?

I don't think that's necessary, if you use the 8-pin power connector.

I'm kinda worried about my wattage. I have a 500w psu. Will all this new stuff be supported? All these things i'm getting are much more powerfull then what i have now. I'm going from a ASUS A8N5X to a Foxconn C51.., pc2700 DDR ram to pc6400 DDR2 ram, and from a 3200+ amd64 to a 5200+ amd64x2

Well it would use more power, but I think it can handle it. I would suggest though, that you invest in a better power supply, because it's the most important component.
