Widescreen LCD Monitor Incompatible?

I've got a Compaq Presario SR1330NX with the onboard VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP display adapter. I recently bought a Samsung SyncMaster 920nw and and I can't get the "S3Display" tab in the advanced options to give me a "Display Devices" option other than CRT. I've updated the adapter and monitor drivers and did a BIOS update to no avail.

Any advice or input? Thanks in advance.

there 2 different types of drivers that came with the monitor , 1 for analog = AGP , and 1 for digital = DVI

with one are you using and witch one have you installed?

I only see one driver both on the disc and on the website.

i have no idea , i have a Samsung Syncmaster 940bw and it came with 2 different drivers with a warning message saying to install the correct one or there will be problem

Yeah, you'd think it would come with two because it is analog and digital compatible, but there's only the one.

well im guessing it should come with two because it helps the monitor recognize with output to use
