Thats what sucks about onboard vid cards, they are ANNOYING. sound cards are easily to deal with, but OB vid cards always give bios problems.. disconnecting the jumpers SHOULD work, I dunno what the problem with that is.. try the steps again.. disable your vid card drivers, etc.. through Add & Remove Programs, then disconnect the jumpers form your onboard card.. put in your new card and statr your comp.. the only few problems left is either your monitor does not support the card (for some reason) there are problems with your agp slot, you do not have enough voltage form your power supply to support your vid card.. dunno any other possible answers..
