I got a new computer

For my birthday my grandfather gave me his dell, cause he got a new dell. Yes a dell. Im planning on upgrading it to a decent comp for me so I can get off the family computer. Here are the stats

128 mb RAM
37.2 GB HD

Floppy Drive
ATI Rage 128 Ultra 32 mb
CNet Pro200wl-PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter
SoundMax Intregated Digital Audio
I cant believe he paid 700 bucks for that crap.
I have a ATI 9600 Pro to put in, and a spare 40 gb drive.
I have 400 bucks, what should I do?
I know I want a better case, this one has 250 or 280 power supply and it has a dell logo, which has to go.
It is going to be for gaming.

400 bucks? with my 400 bucks I got the mobo, ram and cpu on my signature.. from newegg.. your radeon is good enough.. all you need is a new sound card and you can hand down the crappy dell..

I would say, add $20-50 for a case (really nice ones in newegg) and $50-70 for a sound card, all together 500'ish bucks you just went from crap to good.

Put in that extra Hard Drive and get a new video card and more memory, that should do ya just fine.
