6000+ is not good in overclocking, E6550 overclocks way much better

And E6550 consume only 65W max, while 6000+ consume 125W !!!

So, why would you get power-hungry processor when you can get E6550 for £7 less

I was looking at the quad core Q6600, for £170, any opinions on this?

Q6600 is a monster, it is has 4 cores !!! And it is more future proof because many games are going to utilize 4 cores in the future. And dual core are going to be outdated very soon, so it is better to get quad core

And get the intel motherboard that Vaanish suggested
