hah.
for hd maybe around 300 and up.

You know what.
I just bought an opteron 165, new gfx card, mobo, ram.
IM SO STUPID.
I couldve just saved that and gotten the credit card from new egg and build from there!!!.

OR should i wait more till these games come out, just incase gfx card price drop or new ones come out?
what do you think....

i have to go to some dinner now, and then i, gonna go watch the simpsons so sill be back later tonight.
thanks

lol i'm watching simpsons too :)

if u want a better system, wait for the 9 series, so maxing out the new dx 10 games with dx 10.1 cards should be a snap

i doubt u can do max settings.... cuz newer games will be true DX 10 and we don't no how these do on dx 10, but depending on ur monitors resolution, u might be able to play max settings, just don't expect 1680 x 1050 to run Crysis at full settings

What if you got the 8800GTX instead? Would that handle it?

The 8800gtx should handle it, especially the ultra. If you want you can get a lower card for temporary purposes before the new 9 series come.

Intel build is around $1200.
AMD build is around $1000.

I knew that looked familiar....vernong steals!!...lol jk...it's ok...

Anyway, those are the links, that vernong was attempting at.

wouldnt he want 3gb ram? i heard that is usually good for gaming...however, 2 gb would work well too

no... loss of dual-channel mode.... but anything above 2 gb is overkill unless ur doing CAD and have a 64bit OS :)

I learned from the best (u and Sora)

wow, i just got back from the movie...and it was
HILARIOUS...everyone has gotogo watch it.
Well i guess ill wait for the 9 series. But ill show my co worker the links you guys provided.

well i work at 10 in the morning so i gtg sleep....but before i do i have one more question.
When i turn my pc on my gfx card temps are around 49-52. WHen i play a game it gets to around 70. But after the lowest it will get to is 62 and sometimes back to around 59.
I have one regular case fan in the back and one on the front bottom.
Am i doing anything wrong? Or do i need better case fans. ONe of them is from emachines and the other is with the case i got from my manager...its a reallly old one. Big though and was like the old creamy white color.
