My friend wanted my to find him a good 20'' monitor, he's willing to spend $250
its come down between these two

The DCR ratio, is the Dynamic Contrast Ratio. It aids in displaying darker images or scenes, by underpowering the LCD's backlight.

For the same price as the LG, why not 2 more inches:

The response time, isn't much different from 2ms to 5ms.

I think that 3000:1 is the DCR ratio. The contrast ratio is probably something more like 1000:1...I could be wrong. .....800:1 is not bad though.
