proper installation of ram on asus board?

I am upgrading my memory from one G to two G. My new Asus board has four memory slots, two pairs, each pair one yellow and one black slot.

Should I use both yellow slots first? Or install the pair in adjacent yellow and black slots? Does it matter? (I'm still looking for the **** asus manual!)

The first pair (yellow and black) are labelled DIMM A1 and DIMM A2. The second pair are labelled DIMM B1 and DIMM B2. A1 and A2 are 'channel A' and B1 and B2 are 'channel b'. So I'm going to assume both sticks go in A1 and A2, or channel A (even though the slots are uncomfortably close to each other).

1 and 3 should be used (A/B) in order to run dual channel.
