Hi guys i'm new to the chat and i wanted to know hwats the best software out for dvd r/w Is the new Nero 6 Ultra good thanks the replies are greatly appreciated

DVD X Copy, Stomp RecordNow Max are both good for burning dvd's... but I think DVD X Copy is the best... You can buy that from www.dvdxcopy.com or find it a stores like Best Buy.

Yes...Nero is good. You can use DVD Shrink to put the DVD on your hard drive, and then use Nero to burn it to DVD. I know that this is a highly popular way of doing things among the members of this board.

BTW, DVD Shrink is free. Just do a search on google for a free download.

DVD shrink is better than DVD X copy but a little bit more complex. Offers many possibilities to edit your DVD before backing it up on HDD or another DVD

mplayer for playing, mencoder which comes with it for encoding/decoding, other stuff needed for burning usually comes with distro(linux), why pay for it if it works and its free?

The Best Burner for DVD is Lighter or MatchBox...
hah...
I am joking:

My rateing is DVD X Copy
than Nero 6
