I have a venerablw 6800GTX video card. Thought it would be sensible to update the XP driver so went for NVIDIA\WinXP\94.24 which is their latest version.
What a disaster. Computer wouldn't boot other than in safe mode, but occasionally when it did boot then the video was a ghastly mess of horizontal lines. In the end after several re-installs I deleted the driver and returned to the XP version and everything came to life again.
Does anyone know if earlier drivers are fit for use?
