Removing Os from the partition

SO i have installed Windows 2000 in one of my partitions, I don't need it now, also I can free up some SPace, , So when i try to delete Winnt folder, I get an error related to acgeneral.dll , So how do i remove that without formatting Partition ?

You don't delete Windows or uninstall it by deleting its folder.
You either need to use a Windows CD or use a program like Partition Magic.

Formatting is the process of removing an OS. Back up all files. Delete the partition with the Windows on it. Then join the empty space with the existing partition.

Back up, how ?? it's about 12 gb.. no capacity on dvd for back up

well If I have 2000 cd, actually I have not seen a feature to remove that...

Back up as in burn all the files that you need to a DVD or CD. You can save things onto multiple discs. This is just so that you don't lose your files.

wouldn't it be same If i delete Winnt( 2000) or format it, it's not primary partition ...
