just bought a x1950XT and installed this fan on it: Zalman (VF900-CU) Active VGA Cooler been playing on it for an hour or two, then loaded up ATITool and to my horror, saw that the idle temp was 50C at the lowest, and 80C+ when under load! WTF?!

the manual for the zalman said something about the heatsinks not reaching 90% efficiency till a 24 hour run, but those heatsinks go on the ram, and it says nothing about the fan, so why on earth is it so hot?

edit: lol i didnt realise theres a taboo on religious words...

I'm Folding on my x1950XT, and it is running at 88C. Folding is pretty stressful, so the GPU is running at 100%.

You'll start getting artifacts and such, and/or your rig will reboot. I had it to happen once with ATITool, but it was somewhere in the 90's.
