nvidia/crossfire question

im lookign at getting this mobo NCIX.com - Buy ASUS P5K3 DELUXE/WIFI-AP ATX LGA775 P35 DDR3 1333FSB 2PCI-E16 3PCI 2PCI-E1 SATA2 1394 Motherboard - P5K3 DELUXE/WIFI-AP In Canada. as i got a new job and i can afford a rebuild and i was wondering if i can run a nvidia card in a cossfire mobo it seems it should but my friend who owned a x1950 pro wasnt able to run his card in an sli board so he bought an 8800 the next day all tho i have no problem with going for a hd2900xt i wont be upgrading to a c2d for a while if that is teh case and i do not care for sli

your friend was doing something wrong because you can run an nvidia card on a crossfire board, and vice versa you can run an ATI card on a sli board
thats if we are talking about single cards and not 2 cards.

then you owuld have to stick to SLI for Nvidia and Crossfire for ATI, unless you can find some kinds of hacked drivers for your board
