Ultimate Overclocking C2D e6750

I want to overclock my new system, which I haven't built yet... but I want to learn as much as I can about overclocking.

I heard all you have to do to overclock is change the setting in the BIOS.

SO, is there any HARDWARE things I have to do if I overclock? (other than aftermarket heatsinks).

good airflow eg. extra case fans. and better thermal grease

You will definitely need an aftermarket heatsink like the Tuniq Tower in order to overclock a C2D.

For the e6750, he would only need an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, to cool pretty good, while overclocking.

just a cooler and a mobo that supports good FSB's..... i guess...

You can get one of those vigor TEC coolers Apparently they allow for ultimate OCing but they are like a hundred bucks

...but then it's not needed to overclock the e6750, when the e6750, can already overclock like mad, with a stock cooler.....while being on low voltage.

Either that Tuniq Tower 120 or Artic Cooling Freezer 7 as a cooling device. You can also buy a Xclio tower or the Antec 900 to help with the temperature. And yes, you have to change a bit of settings like the EIST and C1E which is useless while you're overclocking. Also disable the drives that you are not using. Remember to check your CPU Vcore to see that it's a good temperature.
