and the argument goes on and on...seriously the q6600 is a measely 60 bucks more...might as well get it instead of the e6750

Actually the q6600 will be about $150 more. (just my guess as the price drop for the quad core are also per 1000.

i think i will prove u wrong now:

"The Q6600, which Intel launched in February, currently sells for $530 in quantities of 1000. " directly from the article, but newegg and other retailers let u buy it for $530 and only 1..... but this is a bit old

I don't know each retailer's specific pricing plan and will not claim to be the expert. All I can say is that no company will remain in business without a profit and they will not supply a product nor keep stock of a product that they cannot make a profit on. They probably made so much money off the first 20,000 units that they could afford to drop the price a little bit to entice more people into thinking its a great deal at $30 less. When all the time they know they are still making $80 profit off each CPU.

technically its dropping because of its oldness and the G0 stepping makes it cheaper to make and the CPU has better temps and the sake of competition

Price will be as we have known these past months if not I will not build my rig and will not watch porn for 1 month period.

Anyway remember that when people are anxious they always start looking for flaws on things if you know what I mean, lets just wait until next week and we will know for sure.

^ok so its final the price drops will happen you wanna know how i know this

no man bets his porn unless he is 169% right lol
