Question about memory...

4gigs of corsair pc6400 800mhz ram for $275 or 2gigs of OCZ pc8000 1000mhz ram for $240?

Remember this is for Maya(like 3dsmax for those that dont know) and it will be doing alot of rendering/multitasking.

Why go with the P-ATA HD? I would just get a S-ATA HD, as P-ATA (more commonly known as IDE) is ugly, slow and out of date technology compared to S-ATA.

actually ide is exactly the same speed. no difference there except blocks airflow, but the rounded cables can ok. but sata is a much better choice

actually pick up those OCZ Gold RAM, and u should be set

yes its 7200 RPm but 7200.10 refers to seagates and how they make their drives the decimal at the end referring to how newer it is
