Hello,

I'm having trouble with my HP Deskjet 3550: it got a paper jam because of swallowing too much paper, but after I cleared the paper from the inside (through the back opening) the paper jam error wouldn't and still won't go away! The on/off button light is blinking, and if I press it the printer just agressively moves the printer head back and forth a few times. I'm not sure what to do.. Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers.

try restarting the print spooler.
control panel > administrative tools > services > search for print spooler >right click stop then start.

Probably a tiny shred pf paper still in there. The newer printers are very sensitive to anything not being perfect. You probably will have to take it apart and blow it out with compressed air. Otherwise one of the sensors that detect the jams is bad.
