Someone wanted me to put togethor a decent computer. And this is what I have. Please feel free to tell me to change something, but the price difference cant be extremly high

Cpu Cooler
CPU
Motherboard
Ram
Hard Drive
Power Supply
Case
DVD Burner
The last thing is video card, he wants an 8600GT, but Im trying to tell him to get a 7900GS KO from Evga.

Those are all the parts, he basically wants this to be a computer, that can handle a bunch of stuff, and play the ocasional game.

the zalmon is a great cooler but i wouldnt spend $60 on a cooler
try this $20 one
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler for LGA775

that is a nice cpu but you can get an e6750 for the same price after july 22
its a 2.66 ghz proc with 1333 fsb

as the the SLI motherboard i wouldn't recommend SLI, here is a great mobo
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

Memory you wanna pay for DDr2 800, which is faster, wait its actually cheaper
Newegg.com - pqi TURBO 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

Hard drive is decent

PSU: for a somewhat high end thats a lot to spend...try this one
Newegg.com - Rosewill RP550V2-D-SL 550W SLI Ready-ATX 12V V2.01 Power Supply 115/230 V CSA,UL,TUV - Retail

case and Dvd burner are good choices

here for the vid card go with this one instead of the GT
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100186L Radeon X1950XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 VIVO HDCP Video Card - Retail
you can use the money you saved on the PSU

its a p35 that i linked him too

I know, im asking if that ram, works in a P5NSLI?

Alos he changed it to the DSR, changed the RAM, and changed the cpu cooler.

BTW was looking at buying one of those artic things, are they easy toinstall?

My idle core 2 duo temp is like 40ºC.:freak:
