So just tell me which would be a better choice. I only have about $500 to mess with.

I know that don't include operating system, cd rom drive, hard drive, ect.

I have everything but the cpu, mobo, memory, graphics card, and computer case.

This computer will be used for gaming.

I don't want to really spend $55 plus $15 for shipping and handling for a computer case so if you could also give me a link to a cheap computer case that would be great. Just make sure it has a side window please.
 
Go Intel... They have the best performance/watt right now, so it will be cheaper to run it too...

As far as a case, just look on Newegg for cases with windows, within a certain price range...
 
not sure when i am going to build it. I have parts lying around and I am selling one of my others.
 
well AMD will be bringing out AM2+ soon and that is suppose to be 40% faster then any current cpu which will put it ahead of even an overclocked intel. The intel core 2 duo range will obviously then begin die down
