I have two computers and two monitors... here is what I want to do. I want to be able to control both computers with one mouse and when I move the pointer off the side of one monitor it appears on the other monitor. A guy i met had his desktop and laptop hooked up this way... but i cant get in touch with him. I assume it is a program that he is running?? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

that guy was using a KVM switch that had support for dual/ multiple monitors. these are very expensive because of the dual monitor support, around $150 or more. the webmaster at my college uses a belkin dual monitor KVM, it looks pretty wicked. newegg.com has them in stock, do a search there for KVM. if you are willing to just use one monitor and switch back and forth between the 2 computers using only 1 mouse and keyboard than you can get a basic KVM switch for around $50. you can also just plug the mouses and keyboard separately from the KVM if you do not want to share them between computers
