before my FX5200 I had a TNT2 Pro and that was a great card, i used it until a few months ago, it ran nearly every game, not on very good settings but for a card that old i think it was doing really well, when I get my new system I am not sure wich to get the 6800 or the X800... i would like to get the 6800 but at the moment i dont know of any place that sells it in Australia. I have never personaly used an ATI so i cant express my opinion validly but i think at this stage, for what its worth i would rather an Nvidia card over and ATI.

why are you going to change from ATI to nVidia? have you had bad experiences with ATI?

Get an X800 even tho the 6800 benchmarks about even with it, the x800 proves slightly better in real games rather than synthetic benchmarks.

Plus with the x800 you save a PCI slot. You really can't go too wrong with either card, but since the 6800 produces more heat, and takes up an extra pci slot. Why not just pick up the x800.
