FPS has dropped dramatically

So i was playing DODs like 5 days ago, getting 80fps no problem. Randomly my PC has started to REALLY slow down. i get 15 FPS now and i cannot play the game Insurgency with more than 30fps. I did an anti-virus check and it is still slow. Can this be a RAM issue? I have 1 generic stick and 1 good stick.... i think the generic stick is bad, ill run a memtest on that tomorrow. But what is lagigng down my PC, this is rediculous, 5 days ago it was running fine. PLEASE HELP ME! here are my specs:
KN8 SLI
x1600pro 512mb
2gm ram
160g HD
AMD 64bit 3200+
I have Mcaffe security Center from comcast for free for anti virus
PLEASE HELP ME GUYS! why is my pc lagigng so baddddd!

i think ur ram is starting to crap out, sometimes value ram clash with performance ram, take out one and test ur game again, then try the same with diff sticks

i just ran memtest on both sticks and i got 0 errors, so yea. I also defragged my pc and now my games are running great lol... so idk
