Internet keeps shutting off... kinda

My internet just stops working about everyday and it doesn't work again until i restart my computer. It stops working in email, IE7, and Mozilla Firefox, but it still works when i run games and aim and stuff. Anyone have any idea about this? iuts starting to really become a pain in the butt.

Sure it is not ISP problem, it can be a virus that loops disconnecting the internet so you can't connect anymore or blocks the networking access to some programms. It also can be modem driver/firewall issue for ports of different net services for internet for example you can use IRC & gaming but now W3. I am amateur to pcs so I bet you will nedd more clarified information but post runned tasks & any information relative to Connection ex Modem properties dialing properties etc. Currently try reinstalling the web browsers you have or simply install a new one. I still think it's kinda a new virus that's why there is no patch yet. Which firewall do you have?
