7200.10 vs. 10k

Is there really a big difference other than like......4ms seek time?

Is it worth the extra $150 or so to have a 7200.10 and a 10k HDD?

why is it 7000.1 and stuff, is it seriously over 7200 RPM, or is it just going to catch your eye?

I think it's just a model number to differentiate them, from several of their other 7200rpm drives.

Broad range of $200-400?....They will be the new 7200.11 hard drives, along with the 500GB and 750GB capacities as well.

200 for a 500GB hdd? sheesh! 200 are only 50... might as well raid this and get a 500gb.

No I meant $200-400 for the 1TB drive. The 500 and 750 would be lower. The 500GB would be like in the $100-150 range, and the 750 in the $200+ range.

nope... as far as i'm concerned, i wouldn't buy a 10k unless its cheap.....

WD Raptor X is now 175 on newegg ( with mail in rebate, making it cheaper then the regular 150 gig raptor ). I guess everyone prefers a seagate 7200.10 ( seagates fastest 7200 rpm HD? ) in this forum however because it has a way better space/price ratio.
