The thing I can see you cut down on, is the 8800GTS 640mb, down to a 320mb, since you're playing under 1680 x 1050. The 320mb is still a great GPU. You could also cut down on the case, but it's your personal preference.

Only like 80$ less or something so might as well get the 8800gts 640

Is there maybe a cheaper cooler or something that can bring this down?

I'd say it's pretty possible, because they are known to hit the high 3.0GHz range.

What would bring it under $1200, is if you drop to the 8800GTS 320mb. Or get a cheaper case.
