Alright, my brother wants to buy a gaming laptop, he usually plays WOW, Dawn of War, and Oblivion, he doesn't want the laptop to lag at all. I've read the other thread and I know people suggest the Asus laptop but I was wondering if there were others out there so he has a choice. My brother is willing to pay 1200-2000, suggestions?

I've been looking for the same thing, in fact. The three I'm trying to decide between include:

Asus F3JP
Newegg.com - ASUS F3 Series F3JP-AS096C NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T7200(2.00GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA+ 1GB DDR2 667 160GB 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon X1700 - Retail

Asus A8JS
Newegg.com - ASUS A8 Series A8JS-4S024C NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T7200(2.00GHz) 14" Wide XGA+ 1GB DDR2 667 120GB 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce Go 7700 - Retail

Dell Inspiron 1520
(This thread refers to this, you can get a great deal on some of the Dell laptops http://www.techist.com/forums/f84/laptop-college-147485/ )

The key is - making sure the graphics are up to par - These three cards, the Radeon x1700, the GeForce Go 7700, and the GeForce 8600M GT are solid for gaming and in your price range. It's up to you whether you want to go with the lighter/better design of the Asus A8JS, but check into those.

Edit: You might also want to check into the Newegg.com - ASUS W2 Series W2PB-7K003C NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T7200(2.00GHz) 17.0" Wide SXGA+ 1GB DDR2 667 120GB 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon X1700 - Retail . Really nice design, 17" screen and only 7.95 lbs and 1.18" thick.
