Help!!!

I will be building a new system soon and iam going to be using xp home but i dont have the cd all I have is the product key

Is there any way I can make this work w/o having to buy another windows xp?

you can buy just the CD keys from eBay - Some are fairly cheap ...

there isnt a fixed CD key just for that disc ...

Well there is a double edged sword here.

First you can download any version of XP Home and your serial will work. But it will give you a problem during activation. Since the hardware will be all new and not was was originally activated with that Serial you will have to call M$ themselves and get a code to get it activated.

I have the product key but no cd to install
