real life FPS is A LOT different than games because there is no motion blur in games. TRUST ME there is a HUGE difference from 30 FPS from 75. The magic number I like is 70 in games however 50 is good

well yeah for movies you are relaxed so that might be the reason 30fps is good enough for watching on TV or in cinema but in games you're brain cpu usage is quite high so it need around 60fps to be smooth lol i still can see the difference between 30fps and 60fps quite alot and when i get new monitor i might check 85 fps or something if that monitor allows. and also how many fps can our eyes see? do we have a ultimate graphics card in our brain? we can see stuff more real than the graphics card that can handle these days.

Oblvion is really low on my machine maxxed out at 1024x768 i only get an average outside in the forest i get 25, is that bad? in FEAR i can get over 150 maxxed out... but my 3dmark scores are horribly low.

Depends on the game. For me the minimum in some games is

Oblivion - 25

FEAR - 35

NFS - 40

C&C Renegade - 45

FarCry - 50

Solataire - 1000

FEAR shouls be a lot higher. i did a benchie, 6x quailty aaa +temporal AA, 16x hqaf, @ 1024 x 768 with a minimum of 40 fps, normal was like 80, and the highest was 210 O_O
