im gonna get the x2 3800+ later when i get the money n i just want to tell u guys that it seems like a waste to get x2 4200+ just to have a 200MHz increase from 2.0MHz. I mean, anyone can OC the x2 3800+ to match the x2 4200+ or x2 4800+, u just need 1) AS5 or higher quality thermal grease n 2) high reviewed, decent, n quality heatsink n fan.

i say get the x2 3800+ n OC it n u will save money, period.

AFTER ALL...........from x2 3800+ on up to x2 4800+, it's just higher clock frequencies increase 200MHz each upgrade but $30-$40 more.

One thing to note before installing your new Dual Core CPU.
Make sure your motherboard BIOS will support Dual Core. Check your motherboard's Support site for that cpu.
Good advice. I had to flash my BIOS to get full functionality of dual cores. Works fine now. Flashing BIOS makes me a little nervous... I was doing it during a thunderstorm.

my motherboard manual says it can support dual core athlon 64s so i should be alright, thanks for the replys ill probably get the 3800+ and O/C
