Right now I want my own computer. Not gonna do anything too advanced anything. Just tired of sharing the family computer.

I plan on building a good computer sometime within the next year, most likely next fall. I dont know if I should get a cheap one now (Say $400 for the computer & monitor) and then get a good one in the fall and use the cheap one as my mess around computer, or just use all the money and get one good computer.

On the good one I plan on building. But can I really beat some of the deals that Dell or EMachines has for around $400 by building?

nothing's impossible. for $400 its not hard to build a computer that is just as good if not better with a monitor....actually probably better. the reason they can sell those so low is because they use cheap low-quality components. i say build one good computer for $500-600 instead of 2 decent ones. if you do not want to build it than buy here:

Just save your money and build an awesome gaming PC. You'll regret it if you buy a cheap P.O.S. just to get something early.

yea, back in 01' my parents got me a cheap emachines with a 1 Ghz celeron and it sucked lol. I finally built one 2 years later, and i managed to spend $800 on it lol.
