It is faster than 750GB Seagate 7200.10, and it beats Raptor in some cases

but the 750gb seagate is old and has been around for a year now

This is the first hard drive from westren digital that use Perpendicular Recording, all the others use Longitudinal Recording. But other hard drive manufacturers like Seagate and Hitachi have used perpendicular recording long time ago.


Perpendicular recording is a newer technology, and it is capable of delivering much more storage density than longitudinal recording
