That Acer deal is very nice. Or this Samsung 216BW. Has a better contrast ratio, than the Acer.

It so happens that I am looking at these same LCDs and trying to decide on one.

The Acer AL 2223w has 800/1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time at $249.

The Samsung 216BW is 1000/1 and 5ms at $259.

the Viewsonic Q22wb is 900/1, 5ms at $239. (with no DVI cord)


Does one manufacturer or LCD have a better reputation?
With the higher contrast ratio should the Samsung give a better picture?

Samsung is the one to go for. Better contrast, and better quality overall. Samsung has a higher reputation too.

I have not heard of them but I see that the Hanns-G has a 79% excellent rating. It also has 5ms and 1000/1 for the same price.

Are they a well known company?
