Ok, just for future reference, this is the outcome.
I phoned ASUS technical support today, they said that the graphics card is inbuilt into the motherboard so therefore to replace it would be too expensive (like 700AUD), however they said that something has been released in the US called a Nex G USB expander (unsure of name), but what it effectively does is connects via usb a normal pci-e graphics card to your laptop. So now your laptop can be just as powerful as your desktop . I'm not sure whether this supports Crossfire or SLI, but i'm sure in the future it will.

Very cool, I didn't think anybody had come up with something like that yet. It's like $700 USD too, though. Maybe there's a cheaper version of the same thing somewhere.
