Hi all, my first post here :).

I'm having a bit of a problem. You see, i recently installed windows on my D:\ driver, and deleted the previous installation from my C:\ driver (deleted all folders, even hidden ones). Yet, my C:\ driver still only has 5gb free, when it's max capacity is 9gb. I don't understand how 4gb is being used?

If any of you would be so kind as to answer my query, I would be extremely grateful.

if you're using windows xp you won't be able to get into dos, you'll have to find a bootdisk for 98 somewhere around the internet

I think u should format the whole C partition.
If u cant do it inside window, u have to format it or delete it using bootable OS cd.

Since your OS is now on D, you can now format C directly from your computer. Assuming you have XP just click on MY COMPUTER, right click on C and select FORMAT.

I would suggest format aswell
you can do it in My Computer, first cut and paste all the files that you want from C: to D:, then make sure nothing from that drive is open, then right click C: and press 'format'
- format using FAT32 file system
