I have an old Soyo PX400 Dragon Ultra with 8xAGP and a Radeon 9800 Pro 8xAGP video card. In catalyst control under Smartgart I'm reading the following:
Set AGP speed = OFF
Current AGP speed 0x
Fast write = Off
AGP write = Off
AGP read = Off

PCI write = On
PCI read = On

It's been like this since as far back as I can remember. I don't see AGP speed mentioned anywhere in BIOS. Any time I set it to 4x or 8x with the AGP options on and PCI off, or any combination of anything; I've tried it all, it reboots with the above settings. Any Ideas?

Does your clock keep the correct date and time? Sounds like a strange question, but your CMOS battery may be dead.

It seems like you should have a setting somewhere in bios for PCI or AGP but if not then it should set it automatically have you tried to set your BIOS to default?
