New Laptop

Hey guys.
I just finished my exams and it's my 18th birthday soon so my parents are treating me with a nice laptop.The idea is to buy a computer that I will be able to use professionally (computer and electrical engineering) for the next 3-4 years, and for gaming.
I went to Virgin the other day, and saw a computer that I liked (keep in mind that i live in Dubai, and there aren't many choices for high end laptops here), that is the Asus G1 (link below). Do you know anything about it? Is it worth the hefty price tag?

Thx Riznaf but I dont have a choice, like I said, I live in a place where I can't order laptops...

Anywayz, vernong the price is in pounds, not euros. And 1020 Pounds equals 2,038 US Dollars.

Any advice on this laptop?

the price you meant to give zeroordie is £520 you half the doller not double it when converting US dolers.
