hey again,
i reinstalled windows vista but i still have the artifacts, then i got baron5's 6800 but i still had artifacts with his so it cant be the video card, but i dont know what it can be. we were thinking it could be vista, but im pretty sure i got artifacts on XP when i was playin ghost recon: advanced warfighter.

i installed the drivers that came with the video card (91.46 i believe) but everytime i went to open a photo or a video i got the blue screen, then i reinstalled the latest drivers, 158.24 and mahjong titans had 1 triangle artifact then disappeared and is fine the whole time, just 1 or 2 everytime i restart my computer and play.

if anyone can think of a piece of hardware that may cause the problem, or just something i can try please post it. (i havent installed any new hardware)

thanks,

If it's not the drivers, graphic card, or Windows...could it possibly be the motherboard?

thanks for all the help, but i saw on a nvidia forum

NVIDIA Forums -> Geforce 7600gt Agp and windows Vista

that person had the same problem, he reinstalled chipset drivers i googled sis agp 1.21a drivers, but this whole time i thought my chipset was sis964, but thats the southbridge the chipset is sis661fx and them drivers are complatible with 661fx, so i got em and with a lot of luck it works i tried mahjong, perfect, F.E.A.R, perfect, thats all the evidence i need, once again thanks for all your help.

before sis 1.21a agp drivers:
