Gonna use an ATI x800 pro too.

Being socket A, does that mean any board can take them?

No, needs to be socket 745
it is a 64 bit chip, not an XP :\
Asus, MSI, Gigabyte or ABit make good ones. Check out newegg, go to AMD Mobtherboards, theres the ones you can use, just make sure its socket 745

Try the M7NCD Ultra from Biostar. It's my mobo's big brother. Built for Athlon XPs. It has a nForce 2 chipset, can support firewire, and supports dual channel memory. Pretty cheap too!
