If I twisted a few arms and called in a few favors I could probably get someone to help me assemble the parts. But I don't want to do that, I will need customer support and service over the next few years, and I don't want to go pestering my friends or running to the forum everytime I have a problem or something.

The two companies I'm considering have outstanding repuations, great custom craftsmanship, great reviews, excellent people who care. Their Customer Service is not outsourced.

I've got a budget of $2k, so I can afford either.
