Hey, right now i have 2 256mb pc 2700 ram chips in my pc and i was wondering about dual channel. I was told that dual channel can double the performance of your pc. Does dual channel work automtically, or do i have to enable it?
download that program and under the memory tab it will tell you whethere its running dual channel or not...and if its not then you should place the ram stick into the same color dimm slots on your motherboard or read the motherboard manual to find out if it supports dual channel mode
dual channel gives you a 10-15% increase, not double. If your MOBO supports it, your manual or the ABIT site will tell you whcih slot to put your 2 sticks in. Those sticks have to be same size and speed.
