restarting when overclocking

my computer is at 2.8GHz from 2.0GHz. If i try to overclock any more it will load up windows and at the desktop it just restarts, What is wrong? The temperature is at 25-30*C.

Chances are, either the RAM or the CPU are not totaly stable at them speeds, you need to either increase the voltage going to the CPU, or back off some and be happy with what you got, if it is your RAM really holding you back, then set a divider.

ur cpu is getting to much voltage thats probably why it just restarts, he's right take it easy voltage or maybe try putting a fan on top of your heat sink.

putting a fan on top of his heatsink wont make any difference if his temps are 25-30C. I'd just be happy with 2.8, after all it IS a celeron, and 512Mb of ram aint that much to overclock on i'd even stuff that and get another computer. you cn get a good p4 3Ghz for less than $400
