Password issue

i have this dell latitude d600 which i loan to an ex of mine and she installed a password on it which refuses to give after we broke up. To cut a long story short, whenever i power the computer on it says, " This computer system, #6283P31-595B is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password." Verbatim. It follows, "Please type in the primary or administrator password and press <Enter>."

Can someone please help? I have tried everything from removing the reserve battery and powering out.

I don't even know if I'm allowed telling you, but it involves shorting a chip with a paperclip and some other configuration

You can use a tool like Mini PE XT to reset any windows account. It is completely free and very simple to use. ERD Commander is another great tool.
