does this board OC well? I'm not doing like die hard OCing, but I would like to get a little more out of my computer.

I've heard it overclocks well. I haven't really heard a bad thing about that board, really. It's a great cheap board.

As far as I know, the MSI P6N Platinum has 2 more onboard USB ports, and copper heatpipes. Also the Platinum, probably has a better onboard sound.

in your opinion, is it really worth the extra $50? does it have any better OC'ing capabilities, etc...?

Well if you have the money, I would suggest the Platinum instead. But if you were tight on the budget, the SLI-FI would do fine. For a little less than the SLI-FI, you can get the Gigabyte 965P-DS3 (Rev 1.3), if you don't need the features of SLI and stuff.
